IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING HOME CARE AND CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES, THEY OPERATE SAN FRANCISCO’S ELDER ABUSE PREVENTION PROGRAM, A FRIENDSHIP LINE, A FREE 24-HOUR SUICIDE PREVENTION “WARM” LINE FOR SENIORS, ADULT DAY CARE CENTERS FOR ADULTS EXPERIENCING ALZHEIMER’S AND DEMENTIA, AND A PROGRAM OF ALL-INCLUSIVE CARE FOR THE ELDERLY (PACE), WHICH PROVIDES MEDICAL CARE, PHYSICAL THERAPY, AND ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES FOR OLDER ADULTS; AND CONNECT, A FREE COMMUNITY REFERRAL SERVICE FOR ALL THINGS ELDER.

THE FRIENDSHIP LINE IS AN ACCREDITED CRISIS INTERVENTION PROGRAM FOR THE ELDERLY. CONFIDENTIAL TELEPHONE DISCUSSIONS FOR PEOPLE 60+ WHO MAY BE LONELY, ISOLATED, GRIEVING, DEPRESSED, ANXIOUS AND/OR THINKING ABOUT DEATH OR SUICIDE, THEIR CAREGIVERS AND/OR YOUNGER DISABLED ADULTS IS AVAILABLE. THE SERVICE IS AVAILABLE 24/7

THE IN-HOME SUPPORTIVE SERVICES (IHSS) PROGRAM PROVIDES HOMECARE SERVICES TO MEDI-CAL ELIGIBLE AGED, BLIND OR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES, INCLUDING CHILDREN, TO ASSIST THEM TO REMAIN SAFELY IN THEIR OWN HOMES AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO OUT-OF-HOME CARE. IHSS IS A MEDI-CAL/MEDICAID FUNDED PROGRAM.
